About Me
I am a visionary and mentor for personal development and modern spirituality. Welcome to a world where you and your wellbeing come first. I guide people on their individual journey back to their power and center.
My name Hemma means home in Swedish
What an appropriate description for what I feel about my work, but also my personal development and my journey.
Finding home within yourself. That beneficial feeling when you've arrived within yourself. When you can drop your masks to show your true face. When you approach yourself with mindfulness, appreciation and compassion. When you can accept all that was, what is and what is yet to come, without judgment. The feeling of security and clarity.
I am Austrian and a globetrotter. Since my early youth, the great wide world has been my home. I've lived in more than 15 countries and love getting to know new cultures and life philosophies. Letting myself be inspired by them and yet consciously returning to myself amidst all these enriching influences.
My journey from burnout to inner peace, balance and expanded consciousness
The first almost 15 years of my professional life probably went the way most people know it. My days were characterized by overly full calendars, stress and pressure.
Initially I worked for a fashion magazine, then my path continued in the creative industry where I produced TV commercials and various events. In recent years I worked in the industry, where my area of responsibility primarily lay in online and content marketing. I commuted between Paris, London and Berlin for meetings, was constantly on the go and had the privilege of leading a team of motivated employees.
And despite the seemingly top career, I felt empty and without purpose. I was burned out and just functioned. Added to this was the feeling of not living up to my own standards and not being able to withstand comparison with others. My goals became ever higher and the pressure increased. I was trapped in my own hamster wheel.
Time for myself fell by the wayside. Things that brought me joy, such as family, friends or travel, became a burden and only felt like more pressure and responsibility. Exercise was far too short, my physical health was out of harmony and gave me, among other things, two stomach ulcers.
Once you see,
you can't unsee it
Then it suddenly happened. During an Ayurvedic Panchakarma cure in Sri Lanka, I could finally clearly see what I had already known deep inside for the past years: It was time to take a new path! I suddenly realized that this couldn't have been all there was and that there's so much more that wants to be lived and seen.
I wasn't happy and had felt uncomfortable in my work environment for far too long. There it was, this knowledge that could no longer be suppressed: It's time for change. And so I embarked on a new exciting path. On the journey back home to myself. An adventure full of gifts, wisdom, achievements and experiences.
4 Reasons to work with me
I know the challenges
of the corporate world
1.
In my over 15 years of work in the creative industry and manufacturing, I've seen and experienced many sides of the working world. I know the pressure of leading a team, meeting tight timings and taking budget responsibility in the millions. I've experienced firsthand what it's like when sleep becomes increasingly restless and you wake up at night full of thoughts and fears. What it's like when your head rattles constantly and you can't switch off. Pressure, comparison, disappointment. Expectations and frustration. I love being able to let all these experiences flow into my offerings and spaces, giving you tools to approach yourself with more mindfulness, self-care and compassion.
I live modern spirituality,
which is inclusive
2.
At the beginning of my journey, I gave the topic of spirituality a wide berth. I thought that meditation would mean sitting on a stone with closed eyes for days, that essential oils were esoteric and that spiritual people hug trees and wear hippie clothes. How mistaken I was in my narrow-minded, ignorant opinion became clear to me after a short time.
Today I know that spirituality can be everything. That it has an individual face for each of us. It can be simple rituals in everyday life that bring you back to your power and are good for you. Or it can be wisdom & teachings from ancient traditions and long-handed down sciences. Spirituality can be integrated into any life model. Spirituality connects all life attitudes - you can integrate it into your life at any moment.
I offer experiences
at the cellular level
3.
My work is about creating experiences that let you gain insights. Keynote presentations stimulate the mind again anyway and usually remain only in theory. We want to experience what it feels like when, for example, the parasympathetic nervous system is activated and the body comes into a state of rest. It's about getting out of the head and into the body and perceiving ourselves.
All the many tools that increase wellbeing only work if they are also applied practically. When your cells receive new impulses and your subconscious is activated. This can happen through breathwork, the effect of medicinal plants such as ceremonial cacao or essential oils, or through music and movement. Without practical experience, no real transformation can occur - there's no way around embodiment.
My spaces are
your safe haven
4.
I create experiences in which you can completely let go. You may drop your masks and roles. There are no expectations of you, there is nothing for you to do. If you wish, you can "passively" absorb, observe and turn inward quietly. Or actively participate and show yourself. Whatever is useful to you in that particular moment and wants to be experienced by you.
My spaces are warm, open, loving, empathetic and non-judgmental.
